Dear Friends,

WHAT’S NEW? Are You Ready to Stop Taking it Personally?

Don't take it personally

  • Are you OVER being pissed-off by the words and actions of others?
  • Does it aggravate you when someone’s insults push your buttons?
  • Are you ready to get off the emotional roller coaster of life?
  • Have you had it with carrying around anger from old altercations?
  • Tired of being stymied by your own insulting or fearful internal dialogue?

What do these questions all have in common?

They’re all symptoms of a person who’s tired of taking life personally!

Fortunately it IS possible to live life totally immune to what other people do and say and ultimately become immune even to your own thought forms – especially the ones that sabotage you in your personal relationships, your business life, and stop you from being all you can be in this lifetime.

In this webinar I’ll share situations that will clearly illustrate how to stop taking stuff personally right now – and help you live a happier, more peaceful, and centered life.

Join me for my upcoming FREE Webinar
June 27th at 8pm ET/5pm PT!

Anyone who’s tired of getting upset by the actions and words of others – and tired of carrying around resentments is most welcome to come. If you’re ready to learn how to be happier in life and create more fulfilling relationships both at home and at work – you’ll be there!

Blessings and love, Sheri Rosenthal

Ready for a Personal Intensive?

Do you ever…

Sheri Rosenthal

  • Wake up wondering whose life you’re living?
  • Feel like you’re lacking clarity?
  • Find yourself short-tempered, frustrated or unhappy?
  • Wish your relationships were more supportive and loving?
  • Want to forgive and move on, but can’t?
  • Crave freedom from your own life and mind?

If so – join me for a Personal Intensive. It’s a powerful experience and is a great way to jump-start your life. In my experience, the root of most people’s issues is a belief system that is sabotaging their life – rather than supporting it.

Imagine what life could be like if you were calm and centered no matter what situation you faced in life, rather than emotional and unclear!

What if you no longer took people’s actions personally? Or if forgiveness came easy to you? Or even if you never got in another argument for the rest of your life?! Believe me – it is possible.

Sheri, how will I benefit? You’ll learn to…

  • Take positive action in life – regardless of anxiety or fear.
  • No longer feel victimized by the people in your life.
  • Deal with people openly, without taking their actions and words to heart.
  • Let go of the burdens of the past, forgive and move on with gratitude and joy.
  • Reclaim your self-esteem and greater life purpose.
  • Replace anger with focused clarity.
  • No longer fear confrontation, or be a doormat for others.
  • Come to a place of self-acceptance, no matter what actions you took in the past.
  • Clearly identify your limiting beliefs, their origin and true purpose – empowering you to make healthier life choices.
  • Utilize specific tools to help you live courageously, boldly, and with your head held high.

If this sounds like something that you could use – I encourage you read more about the experience on the website and make an appointment to chat with me right away about your desires and goals! The summertime intensives book up early so I suggest you do take action quickly. Blessings, Sheri

SEVA: Love in Action – do you have it?

Nepal retreat

I’d recently been researching a new ayurvedic yoga retreat center in beautiful Kerala, a tropical state in southern India. While in the area I spent some time at the ashram of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi, or Amma, a place I have been intending to visit ever since I met Amma in Australia several years ago.

Amma (which means “mother” in Malayalam) is one of India’s few female gurus, whose primary teachings focus on divine love in action, or selfless service. As well as giving her famous hugs to all who come to see her for darshan, (she’s hugged a total of 32 million people all over the world!), she has founded numerous charities in over 40 countries to tackle hunger, poverty, pollution, disempowerment and lack of education. To her, spirituality is about compassion to all beings.

Her teachings really resonated with me as I pondered my own spiritual path. I’ve committed to a daily practice of yoga and meditation, but is it really worthwhile if I’m not also sharing a sense of peace and love with others? Am I willing to test what I have learned on the mat in the harsh realities of the real world?

Nepal Spiritual Journey

It’s one thing to be able to feel connected to universal harmony during a morning meditation, but what good is it if a few hours later you’re getting p*$$#d off at the person who just pushed in front of you in the line? Or if members of your family remain disconnected or estranged due to past grievances that cannot be let go of?

I realized that seva is the true work, and the whole point of spirituality. Seva is sanskrit for thread, meaning that we are all interconnected by one invisible thread, there is no “you” and “me” in truth, only divine oneness. Yoga and meditation help us to quiet our minds enough to understand and experience this truth, and seva is how we apply this knowledge in this material world.

As Amma says: “To see and love everyone as your own Self is the essence of non-duality.”

Nepal Retreat

So do we run off and join the Peace Corps? That’s not a bad idea, but seva is a spiritual practice that can be performed not just during prescribed times to certain people, but ALL of the time in our daily lives, with those around us.

It is, as Sri Ravi Shankar puts it, “being there as the need arises.” In other words when you come across someone who’s suffering in any way, reach out to them and offer support. By suffering I also mean people who may be angry, rude or intolerant – that’s a form of suffering also.

Show others love, not because you feel they’ve earned it, but because love is your true nature. Find ways you can help others in your community. Amma often advises to give up one bad habit such as buying too many clothes or smoking, and using the saved money to help the poor. Practice seva in your job, when you drive, when you cook for your family, when you do your shopping – make it a way of life.

One point to emphasize is the notion of “selfless” service. We don’t do it to be rewarded by a thank you, or to accrue owed favors, to feel self-important or to make “God” happy with us. We don’t do seva to earn a place in heaven. We do seva to create heaven on earth…
