Dear Friends,

WHAT’S NEW? Revealing the REAL You!

Brandt Morgan

My very dear friend Brandt Morgan (he studied with don Miguel Ruiz author of The Four Agreements during the same time I did years ago) is running a special journey to Teotihuacan, Mexico – October 18-24th. He is an internationally known teacher and author of the book Vision Walk, whose passion is helping people find their true selves and the vision and courage to live their dreams.

During this magical trip, you’ll pull back the curtains of illusion to discover the glittering diamond at the core of your being, the one you’ve always been searching for: the real you. Like the Toltec apprentices of old, we’ll perform rituals of life along the Avenue of the Dead, commune with the living Earth in the Temple of the Butterflies, and enter into the dream of the Ancient Ones at the Palace of the Jaguars. On the Pyramids of the Moon and the Sun, we’ll celebrate our homecoming and our origins among the stars.

**This will be a bi-lingual trip with English and French being spoken. Trip cost: $1,250 USD/950 Euros double occupancy, all meals included. If you’re interested contact me immediately. 🙂

Blessings and love, Sheri Rosenthal

Don’t Take it Personally – Group Class!

Don't take it personally

Are you a fan of The Four Agreements? If so you’ll love the upcoming 4 part teleclass on the second agreement coming up this September with yours truly!

Together we’ll:

  • Get clear on how you’re taking things personally in your particular situation (rather than feeling like you’re upset because of someone else’s actions or words).
  • Identify the beliefs that are causing your suffering and how you’re
using those beliefs to hurt yourself.
  • Assist you in creating healthy counter-actions you can take in those moments when you REALLY want to take someone personally!

We’ll be recording the classes so if you can’t make it – email me your question beforehand and then I’ll answer it during the class. That way even if you can’t be there – you’ll have your questions answered when you listen to the replay!

As for dates: they’ll be Thursday September 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th at 5pm PT/8pm ET.

The 4 session group teleclass
series is only $297!

No excuses, mark the dates on your calendar NOW and join me for this fun and enlightening teleclass series!!

Make sure you sign up here –> www.sherirosenthal.com/stop-taking-it-personally

**PS: I’m open for a few strategy sessions with those entrepreneurs that are feeling a bit stuck in their business and who are probably sabotaging themselves. Sound like you? If so, sign up for a session here.

Two Truths I Learned From a Tibetan Buddhist Master

Are you running around aimlessly in search of that holy grail of inner peace? Well, recently I came across an incredible, kind, and charismatic teacher, Tibetan Buddhist Master Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, who taught me a thing or two about this kind of behavior and where the real wealth in life lies.

He’s got a long name with lots of confusing titles so let me explain it for you. The term tulku is given to an enlightened being who decides at the time of death to be reborn as a human; they come back to continue their work helping confused folks like you and me — who are stuck in the drama of samsara. They choose to do this rather than stay in what could be described as a type of Buddhist heaven.

The title Rinpoche is an honorific title automatically given to tulkus, but high-level teachers can earn it over time. In other words, if you’re lucky enough to attend teachings by someone named as Tulku Rinpoche who is within a reputable monastery or lineage, then chances are you should really pay attention!

Tibetan Buddhism can be complex with very deep teachings that often go over my head. During a particularly “heavy” teaching Ringu Tulku put down his book and admitted he used to know this stuff but didn’t anymore – his admission really put me ease. He went on to explain how he had learned it by heart for exams, but once the exams were over he did a brain dump and never looked back.

He then proceeded to turn the teachings around and go back to his easy style of teaching through analogy and stories, answering our basic questions around our internal struggles and the practice meditation. It was gold dust and I felt very blessed to be there.

There were two teachings that really stayed with me and I’d like to share them hoping that they could benefit you too. First, he said we are all like poor people sleeping on top of a treasure unbeknownst to us — and that treasure is our inherent Buddha nature. But rather than recognizing that, we occupy ourselves with things to do in search of it! Priceless wisdom, don’t you think? The second teaching was delivered within a story that a child once told him and it goes like this:

There were three monsters and they wanted to take away the happiness of all people. Deciding where the best place would be to hide it, the first monster suggested at the bottom of the sea. The other monsters said that wouldn’t work, for people would just keep digging till they found it.

The second monster then suggested they hide it in the sky, far away in the galaxy – but again, the others said mankind would find it for they would keep sending space ships up to search for it until it was uncovered. Then the third monster said he had the perfect place to hide the happiness of mankind, the only place they will NEVER look — inside their hearts.

Buddha Moon

That struck such a deep cord with me, for I believe it to be true. On my personal journey of meditation and self-exploration, I have come up against resistance from those who claim to love me. My choice to find my happiness by exploring my own heart space has terrified many people in my life. I honestly think it frightens the many people and that’s a real tragedy.

To really explore the terrain of the heart I think we need help. We need to find someone who can help us see our own blind spots, who will be our lighthouse in the storm, who will impart their wisdom on to us.

That someone can be a therapist, a Buddhist master, a spiritual teacher or anyone else you resonate with — for when the student is ready, the teacher always appears. And to help them help you, meditation is the magic ingredient – it will make you strong enough to follow through on their guidance.

Ringu Tulku shared something along those lines too. He said that the only three things we need to achieve lasting peace are meditation, wisdom, and the right kind of lifestyle. Start to meditate. Allow someone into your life who can share their wisdom with you until you harness your own. And finally, live a lifestyle that allows you to go in and find your true happiness – the treasure of your heart.

Blessings, Lisa Tully

Lisa Tully

Lisa ditched the corporate world a few years back and headed to India on her last few sheckles. She had a burning desire to see the Dalai Lama in person and learn from him. Blown away by the Tibetan culture she was simultaneously overwhelmed by profound inspiration for what she should do for her next job incarnation!

Fast-forward past some serious doubts, the odd flood of tears, and nothing short of a few miracles – she now runs successful spiritual group tours to Dharamsala & Ladakh in Northern India. Lisa loves nothing more than to take folks to experience the exact same life-changing trips she did.

Registration is open for Lisa’s: The Dalai Lama & Tibetan Buddhism in Exile– Nov 16-Dec 6th, 2013. Watch her talk about her journey below!
