WHAT’S NEW? The Olympics – A preview of peace on earth?
I love the Olympics and it always amazes me that for a short period of time people can come together in the spirit of cooperation and peace.
So my question is this – why can’t we have the same level of cooperation every day? Why can’t people get along for no reason other than to simply get along? Most people (unless they are sociopaths) do not enjoy war. I don’t think anyone enjoys being killed, maimed or mutilated. Is there any religion or political system worth killing or dying for? I don’t think so.
In addition, I love to hear the actual stories of these people and the obstacles they had to transcend to get to this level of excellence. What would each of our lives look like if we all had that level of desire for personal excellence regardless of the fear we felt inside?
I’m curious – what you do think about the Olympics? Is it a foreshadowing of the oneness that could exist if we choose to dream that way? Is it just a bogus event? Please post below and let me know.

It’s here!!! The How to Forgive e-Course…
You know I’ve been talking about the free forgiveness videos for weeks now and I do hope you’ve taken advantage of them and created time in your schedule to watch and learn from them.

Thank for opening the topic of the Olympics, which is is a highly commercialized, if fascinating, bit of showmanship.
A couple of much more substancial examples of the extremely high level of international cooperation today are the worldwide air traffic control system and the international banking system. Just imagine how different our world would be if funds couldn’t be instantly and conveniently transferred between countries.
Regarding wars, consider that the last war between sovereign nations, that was not initiated by the United States, ended in 1991. What we have had since then is American agression and a huge number of internal conflicts/rebellions/terrorist-acts.
The Olympics are a corporate creation full of cult symbolism, designed to fool the population into a feel good situation, whilst the MacDonalds etc. etc. make huge profits at the expense of ordinary people/businesses, who will ultimately pay the price. This has never been as obvious as it is at the London Games.
I admire the competing athletes for their work and determination to get to where they are now, but this whole charade is a distraction for other agendas.
On another note, is competing to be “The Best” really our highest calling? Is it a coming together? or a separation?
I sincerely hope that these games pass without incident with as little damage done as possible, and the world moves towards freedom, unity and higher ideals, but it will be ‘in spite of’, not ‘because of’ the Olympic Games.

I still have hope and a vision for peace in our time. I will never give up
visualizing it. Peace joy compassion and kindness in abundance.

If it were up to me, wars would be a physical competition between the 2 strongest folks from the 2 warring nations, maybe wrestling, boxing. whatever and may the best one win. Whoever wins, their country is the winner and the matter is settled, PERIOD! NO KILLING OR BILLIONS OF BUCKS SPENT ON WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION ETC! Imagine what that money could do….feed and clothe and house everyone, everywhere…..no more famine….PEACE AND FREEDOM FOR ALL but we all know the men running all of the warring factions will NEVER agree to this cause it’s too easy and doesn’t allow their testosterone to run rampant like it does now. I guess my peace will be in the world to come after I’m dead cause it will never happen in my lifetime!
