WHAT’S NEW? It’s Never Too Late! One of the unfortunate aspects of growing older is the slow narrowing of the mind – becoming more set in our ways instead of opening with age. Day by day the myriad of opportunities in life slip away and all we can see is the narrow path ahead, devoid of wonder and possibility.
While studying with don Miguel Ruiz he would often say to me, “Sheri, you have so many opportunities in life but you never see them. You are too busy focusing upon only what you feel is possible for you based on what you believe, and that is so limiting!”
I came to realize that life is so abundant and we are surrounded by thousands of options if we allow ourselves to open to them and let convention fly in the wind. That is what I like about this little video – where a group of old men are living out their lives in sadness, pain and boredom until…..well, you just have to watch it to see! Thank you so much for choosing to answer a question as your video ~ and you are so right, we all “enjoy” many of the same concerns and challenges!
I love your practical approach of giving helpful advice and teaching. Having the courage and willingness to try something that appeals to me, and then if it doesn’t work, or feel good, continue with something else sounds very do-able (and something I have begun doing already). I have spent too many hours and years over-thinking my passion instead of living them!
