Guatemala: Unconditional Love in Action

July 30th – August 8th, 2018

An Inspiring and Heartwarming Journey with David Ault

With its dramatic, volcano-studded horizons, lush forests and cobblestone streets, Guatemala is an iconic destination for anyone craving beauty, culture and spirit.

Many feel that the heart of Guatemala is Lago de Atitlan (Lake Atitlan), the majestic waterway where many villages and towns have grown and thrived. Most notably is Panajachel, the busiest Mayan settlements.

Panajachel is where Kaleidoscope Child Foundation has created an exciting alliance with Jabel Tinamit School one of the finest immersion language schools is throughout the country.

In 2017 Kaleidoscope proudly joined forces with its founders Candalaria and Gregorio Garcia to deliver more than 100 5 gallon fresh water filter dispensaries to 100 Gautemalan village families. These familes are committed and enrolled in ongoing literacy classes both for adults and children.

Highlights of Our Unforgettable Journey…

Kaleidoscope will work on a variety of initiative based projects yearly with Jabel Tinamit to bring literacy, health and leadership to the innumerable rural villagers engaged in quality of life improvement programs.

Our service activities will range from village fresh water initiatives, to classroom educational support and other community needs.

Juxtaposed with this meaningful work will be our stay in the beautiful Villa Sumaya, an eco-chic wellness retreat and spa community dedicated to holistic practices. Nestled on the banks of Lake Atitlan, Villa Sumaya is a spectacular respite offering organic meals, gorgeous terrain and a chance for our group to gather and engage in meditative practices.
