Join us for a truly transformational spiritual journey to the ancient home of Quetzalcoatl. Tepoztlán is about 1,700 meters (5,500 ft) above sea level and at a distance of some 18 kilometers from Cuernavaca. Tepoztlan has become a meeting ground for different religions and practices such as New Age, Hare Krishna, traditional local shamonic healing practices, and Catholicism. It's also well known for being a spiritual center where energy and mysticism converge. You we see hundreds of holistic and alternative medicine businesses throughout the town! Because of this, the energy here is perfect to support our personal work and transformation.
We stay at the very romantic Posada De Tepozteco, our home base in Tepoztlán. Their web site is at: Posada Del Tepozteca. While we are there we will visit the Tepozteco and Xochicalco Pyramids and archeological zones. To the north of Tepoztlán, is Tepozteco mountain. On this mountain is the archaeological site of the same name, its name comes from Tepoztecatl, the principal god of Pulque (an alcoholic beverage made from the sap of the agave). The site has always been a sacred place where many pilgrims have come from as far as Chiapas and Guatemala. The pyramid can only be reached by a long and narrow flight of steps located on the south side of the temple. Tepozteco is a great hike from the town - about a four hour climb - along a narrow trail and steps. But once you reach the summit, you will be glad you did since the views from the top are breathtaking. In addition we will have the opportunity to visit the Cavernas de Cacahamilpa which contain fascinating natural formations. Another lovely aspect of this town is its incredible gourmet food - which we will all enjoy!
Please feel free to take a peek at some pictures from our last journey to Tepotzlán: Tepoztlán Photo's!
As is typical for a Journeys of the Spirit retreat, you will experience class time daily, time for sharing with the group, reflection and meditation time, and one-on-one personal time with your group leader (along with fun and shopping time too of course!). It is our intent that you return home with an open heart and mind along with the tools you need to make the changes in your life you desire.

Day 1 (-/-/-) Meet the group at the Mexico City Airport at 4:00 pm. We will travel south of the city to Tepoztlán and settle in at the Posada del Tepozteco hotel and have a wonderful dinner, enjoy the town and relax.
Day 2-5 (-/-/-) We spend the next four days exploring and moving through the Tepozteco and Xochicalco pyramids and the Cavernas. There will be class each day in the morning and evening, and free time to explore the area too. Two entire days will be spent in process work at the pyramids (it will take us all day to climb up to the Tepozteco pyramid) and a half day at the Cavernas. We spend time working in group and individually. There is no definite schedule for these days because at Tepoztlán we work with the energy present in the moment! One event we will not miss is the Sunday market which is a tradition in the area and which has wonderful crafts and foods to experience. We will also have time to experience some of the beautiful colonial churches in town, especially the Temple and Ex-Convent de La Natividad.
Day 6 (-/-/-) We leave for the airport today renewed and with a change of heart. New friends have been made and old friendships made stronger. We look forward to the challenge of bringing this new dream home with us!
Breakfasts are included in Tepoztlán. Meals taken at the hotel can be charged to your credit card, but if you eat at any of the local restaurants in Tepoztlán, you will probably need to pay in cash so plan accordingly! All spiritual teachings are included. Other non-included items would be: phone calls, laundering services and souvenir shopping! Tips for maids (we recommend $1.00/day for the maids) and waiters are not-included. All tips for our bus drivers and baggage handlers (one bag per person) are included. All ground transportation is included on this journey; unless you do not arrive with the group and separate transport is needed. Your round trip air flight to and from Mexico City is not included.
There is the possibility of participating in a traditional Temazcal sweat lodge given at the hotel. Tepoztlán is known for the number of healers and massage artists if you are interested.
The schedule of spiritual teachings and what we will be doing day to day is not published. This is because we teach by channeling spirit which comes in the moment. Every day will be a magical experience for all of us, teachers included! Keep you heart and mind open to the experience life brings us.
2008 trip cost is $1299.00 double occupancy if you stay in a Normal Room (currently sold out), and $1479.00 double occupancy if you stay in a Junior Suite. If you desire a single the cost would be $1759.00, but we only have two rooms available at this price. These prices per person include all teachings, breakfasts, entrance fees to the pyramid, hotel five nights double occupancy in a Normal Room or Junior Suite at Posada del Tepozteco, and transportation to and from the Mexico City airport. They do have suites at Posada del Tepozteco and you are welcome to ask me what the additional costs would be for an upgraded room.
A deposit of $500.00 is needed by January 1st, 2008. Final payment is due February 1st, 2008. Any cancellation made in writing between January 1st and February 1st, 2008 will result in a cancellation fee of $200.00. Any cancellation made between February 1st, 2008 and the trip departure will result in total loss of deposit. Trip cancellation insurance is recommended to cover such issues. If you need a single, please let us know asap, as the cost differential is to be announced for a Normal Room and to be announced for a Junior Suite.
Please know that I am happy to create a monthly payment plan for you - if that works better! Just email me and we can charge a specific amount monthly to your credit card.
