Have you been feeling like something isn’t quite right in your life? Do you feel like your life is in charge of you, instead of you being in charge of it? Have you been telling yourself that you’ll be happy when something in your life changes? Are you ready to make a change but don’t know where to begin? You’re not the only one! Taking a spiritual journey is a wonderful way to begin to have clarity about yourself and your life.

Santorini is a small, circular group of volcanic islands located in the Aegean Sea, about 200 km south-east from the mainland of Greece. Santorini is also known by the name of the largest island in the archipelago, Thira or Thera. It is the southernmost member of the Cyclades group of islands. The island was the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions of the last several thousand years when it erupted cataclysmically about 3,500 years ago. The eruption left a large caldera surrounded by ash deposits hundreds of feet deep. We will be staying in Oia (pronounced E-ah) is a traditional settlement located on the northern tip of the island, high on the cliff-top. Oia hosts the most magnificent views on Santorini and a picturesque road, with cliffs on one side and sea on the other, leading to this attractive town.

This will be an active trip as there are many steps on this island to navigate since the towns are built vertically into the side of the volcano's caldera! The food is incredible and we even have access to full spa services for our weary bodies. So bring your hiking shoes, a journal and an open heart. Be prepared for the unexpected, as the magic of this land will take you to places you did not think were possible.

As is typical for a Journeys of the Spirit retreat, you will experience class time daily, time for sharing with the group, reflection and meditation time, and one-on-one personal time with your group leader (along with fun and shopping time too of course!). It is our intent that you return home with an open heart and mind along with the tools you need to make the changes in your life you desire. Day 1- (-/-/-) ATHENS We meet in Athens and stay overnight and get ready for our flight to Santorini in the morning. If you like, you are welcome to arrive in Athens a few days earlier and explore the city before joining the group. Most international flights to Athens travel overnight. If you make sure you take an evening flight on May 31st you will arrive in the morning and be able to catch the noon flight on June 1st to Santorini.

Day 2-6 (b/-/-) OIA, SANTORINI Today we start our day by enjoying the beautiful view from our hotel looking out over the caldera. We will have the opportunity to explore different aspects of the island, from the ancient ruins of Akrotiri, to the beautiful black and red beaches and the wonderful food and people. Included in our journey is a wonderful cruise around the caldera to really enjoy the energy of this volcanic paradise. Each day we will have a gathering and class in the morning and then explore the island in the afternoon.

Day 7- (b/-/-) ATHENS & HOME We say our last goodbyes, hugs and kisses as we prepare to take our new dream of heaven back to our lives!

Breakfast is included in this itinerary, but lunch and dinner are not. Meals taken at the hotel can be charged to your credit card, but if you eat at any of the local restaurants, you may need to pay in cash so plan accordingly! Your journey to Santorini includes 6 nights double occupancy at the Aethrio Hotel in Oia. You can also request a triple or a single if needed. All spiritual teachings are included. All tips for baggage handlers (one bag per person) are included. Most ground transportation is included on this journey; unless you do not arrive with the group and separate transport is needed.

The non-included items would be: phone calls, laundering services, taxis to go places outside of the group activities, and souvenir shopping! Tips for the maids (we recommend $1.00/day for the maids, and waiters are not-included. Optional island excursions, bike rentals, are not-included. Your international flights to Athens, and your national flights to Santorini are not-included. If you would like to extend your visit to include a tour of Athens or one of the other Greek islands, my experts at Expeditions Travel in Greece can help you create the perfect itinerary. The actual schedule of spiritual teachings and what we will be doing day to day is not absolute. This is because we teach by channeling spirit which comes in the moment. Every day will be a magical experience for all of us, teachers included! Keep you heart and mind open to the experience life brings us.

2008 trip cost $1995.00 per person double occupancy. You can request a triple room which will be $1895.00, or a single room for $2295.00. If you desire a larger double occupancy room it would be $2125.00 (this is a triple room used as a double) or a suite which is $2295.00 double occupancy. Please note that these prices are based on one Euro = 1.4 Dollars and might increase slightly in price if the dollar drops significantly.

A deposit of $500.00 is needed by: April 1st, 2008. If you are interested in this trip and it is after May 15th - please contact us for availability. Final payment is due: May 1st, 2008. Any cancellation made in writing before: April 1st, 2008 will result in a cancellation fee of $0.00. Any cancellation made between: April 1st, 2008 and the trip departure date will result in a cancellation fee of $500.00 - total loss of deposit.. If you need a hotel room in Athens before or after our trip we can arrange that for you. If you take a flight that arrives in Athens the morning of June 1st, you can catch the noon flight to Santorini and will not require a room in Athens.

Trip cancellation insurance is recommended to cover such issues. If you need a single, please let us know asap, as the cost differential is to be announced for the trip if available. Please know that I am happy to create a monthly payment plan for you - if that works better! Just email me and we can charge a specific amount monthly to your credit card.
